First things first, we don’t ask you to pose at all. We don’t halt proceedings to set up any shots up but instead photograph everything very naturally capturing the honest story of the wedding with real moments. This style is called by many names: documentary, natural, storytelling and reportage.
Every wedding is different, we stay as long as you want us too and as agreed in our meeting. Some weddings are longer than others and some Bride and Grooms want to let their hair down without the photographers being there!
We always photograph every wedding in colour and using our artistic license will select images to be in black and white. If you’d like any colour photo to be black and white, then just ask us and we are happy to edit it for you.
Yes, we have four camera bodies (2 each!) and a variety of lenses, to handle any range of situations. It’s exceptionally rare that we can’t handle any technical issues that arise.
With two of us, nothing will be missed, and your photos will be a true reflection of your wedding day. Also, with us, the Bride can have Katie following her around on the morning with preparations and Yousef can follow the Groom so no embarrassment needs to be had!
Image numbers depend on the coverage, during a typical full wedding day (bridal preparations to evening celebrations) you will receive roughly 500 images. You are assigned full and unrestricted personal usage rights to print and share/distribute the images.
Documentary wedding photography doesn’t automatically rule out the need for groups shots. I regularly do group photographs at each wedding and will request a group photo list before the wedding day. Of course, some couples don’t want group photos so it’s completely your decision.
Usually, we whisk the Bride and Groom away after the ceremony and before the Wedding Breakfast for 20 minutes, it gives you both a little break to breathe and enjoy each other’s company. The portraits are generally taken in the gardens or grounds and are not posed at all. We want these portraits to blend seamlessly with the documentary coverage.
We do, these shoots are very relaxed and can be at a location of your choice. The aim of an Engagement Shoot is to allow us to get used to working together prior to the day but to also help couples overcome any fears they have of being in front of the camera.
We have full, professional insurance to cover every aspect of my wedding photography services.
We both have an Enhanced DBS Certificate (the new CRB) as we previously worked as Tutors at a University and this was necessary for our work with schools.
No. If we haven’t been to your venue before then we take time out before your big day to visit the venue and familiarise ourselves with the location.
It would be much appreciated as we are on our feet all day. We try and bring food and snacks with us but a hot meal is a great help to keep our energy levels up on the day!
Your images are ready within 4 weeks following the wedding. I always aim to try and deliver them sooner than this if possible as we know how excited you are to see them!
We are based in the historic town of Rochester in Kent and we are happy to travel all over the UK and abroad, please call or email us to discuss as we love to travel!
Yes! Just get in touch and I can give you some links to complete weddings to look through. You can also browse lots of work on our blog.
If you’d like to book us to photograph your wedding, then you’ll need to confirm the date, how much coverage you’d like to go for and pay your £250 via Bank Transfer. Please enquire with your date as soon as you know as we get booked 1-2 years in advance.
If you would like to chat over the phone, meet us in person or even over Skype, just get in touch and we can book something in the diary. We love to meet couples in person and know a great local meeting place!
